Okra and green tomatoes

Tomatoes and okra are a classic taste combo. If you want the taste, but would like to avoid the slime, charring green tomatoes with your okra is a great option. A scorching hot cast iron skillet will sear tomatoes and okra. Cooking with the less juicy green tomatoes will delay some okra slime.
